The acquisition
Acquired by BST Canada and its strategic partners in 2009, Maebrook Scott is a six-story multifamily building with 79 residential units. Over a century ago, this site was home to “the Old Scott family mansion,” a luxurious residence owned by one of Brampton’s first citizens, Judge Scott.
The building is located in a family-friendly community, surrounded by greenery, parks, and various sports and leisure facilities, with a strong demand for high-quality new living options.
BST Canada and its partners have recognized the apartment as an ideal property for redevelopment, leveraging our successful value-add strategy. The 2.2-acre lot on which the Maebrook Scott stands allows BST Canada to significantly increase the number of residential units from 78 to 385, while also expanding the common areas and amenities.
The result
We are now in the advanced planning stages of this project, with BST Canada crafting a detailed blueprint for the demolition and development of a new building that will feature 350 residential units. This project is set to bring substantial value to the community, offering modern, high-quality apartment living for local residents in the coming years.
